Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/ABA Therapist Afternoon Availability - Rockville MD
Essential Functions:
-
Collect and record data on client behaviors during therapy sessions to monitor the progress of a treatment plan

Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency in treatment approach
-
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
-
Work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans that address communication, behavior needs, daily living skills, executive functioning skills, and social skills.

Who You Are
Requirements

Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy

Ability to work independently and collaborate with others

Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used.

Must be 18 years of age or older
-
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred
-
​First Aid/CPR certification is required

Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
-
Must be able to pass a state and FBI background check, and state child abuse clearance
-
Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of employment (we will support you with this!)
-
Experience with special education services and/or delivery of ABA therapy is strongly preferred
-
Experience in working with children or adults with autism or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
-
1 year experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred

Minimum Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to stand and move for 100% of the day
-
Use of hearing, hands and eyes 100% of the workday
-
Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally during the work day

Stamina and ability to work all assigned hours
-
Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position
What you will do:
Schedule and Location:
Must have availability from 5-8PM on weekdays to be in Rockville MD; schedule assigned based on client need - sessions typically occur in the teen’s natural environment (in the teen's home, community, and/or school).
